Every summer, it’s almost ritualistic for me to do a wardrobe makeover. Why? Because you know what they say, if you look good, you feel good. The first step (pun intended)? Shoes. What you wear on your feet can make or break any outfit. But there’s no need to stress—or shell out thousands of dollars—because Zappos just marked down over 12,000 shoes ahead of the Fourth of July.
From trendy brands like Steve Madden and Dr. Martens to more exercise-forward Adidas, Zappos’ discounted shoe offerings truly run the gamut. Looking for a basic sandal that you can easily slip into every day? Check. On the hunt for a more sophisticated shoe that doesn’t have an intimidating stiletto heel? Check. In search of your next favorite workout shoe? Check.
My top picks, below, are here to prove that there’s something for everyone in Zappos’ sale section. However, if you don’t have enough time to scroll through the thousands upon thousands of options, I’ve got your back. Keep scrolling for my eight favorite pairs of shoes that are on sale at Zappos ahead of the Fourth of July.
Lucky Brand.
This open-toe heel from Lucky Brand is ideal for any casual outfit you want to give a little extra flair. The stacked heels are more comfortable than a pointy stiletto but will provide you with the same amount of class.
Dr. Martens.
Dr. Martens has done it again with the Blair Slides. They’re adjustable and lightly cushioned for underfoot support, which is super important if you’re planning on taking a lot of hot girl walks this summer. One of our shopping editors, Katie Decker-Jacoby, has a pair of her own and can confirm these sandals are super comfy and versatile. She warns they might require a short break-in period because of the thick straps rubbing against your skin. But after that, it’s all smooth sailing, and you’ll likely find yourself reaching for these shoes every single day.
ZODIAC.
I’m in awe of these sneakers because of their Adidas Samba vibe. They’re my favorite find from this sale, hands down. The polyester material makes them incredibly breathable and sporty but still very stylish.
Steve Madden.
There are always at least one or two fancy events in the summer that require cute shoes to match. If you aren’t a tall heels girl, these low, ballet flat-inspired heels are for you. They come in various colors, including red, black, and hot pink, but I personally find the silver version the most chic.
Steve Madden.
If you love Birkenstocks, these Steve Madden Cabo shoes flaunt a similar style and special sparkly detail, making them even cuter. Their upper leather lining makes them skin-friendly (as in they’re made from hypoallergenic fibers) and breathable. This sandal is ideal for a sundress look to go out with your girlfriends.
Dolce Vita.
I’m calling it now: Dolce Vita’s Ilva Mid are the heels of the summer. The block heel adds height while being comfortable, and the silver wavy lining is unlike any other shoe design I’ve seen. A night out on the town with these heels is like a Pinterest post waiting to happen.
Dr. Scholl’s.
I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again, these are the shoes to help you live out your European summer dreams. They come in six different colors, but my go-to is the white and gold style. These TikTok-viral sneakers are perfect for everyday wear, but especially if you plan to walk frequently. They’re so supportive that we included them in our roundup of the best shoes for traveling Europe.
Adidas.
When it comes to exercise shoes, I trust Adidas with my life because the brand makes such comfortable shoes. These gray and blue unisex sneakers have a cushioned insole and a padded tongue that ensure tons of support. If you want to go on a jog, join a run club, or shoot some hoops, I recommend these sneakers. You would be getting the best bang for your buck.
