Wildflower Lacquer has their July 2024 Pre-order open now through Friday, July 12 at 11:59PM CDT. There is one six-piece collection as well as a number of limited edition and charity polishes. The brand also introduced new cuticle oils, but those sold out right away and will be back in the future. Let’s check it all out!*press sample* First up is the Luminescence Collection, inspired by iridescent carnival glass. Each polish is priced at $13.50 or you can get the entire collection for $78. All of these are shimmer heavy polishes, and I recommend thin coats and doing the next coat before the previous is dry to prevent bubbling. They dry quickly and pretty hard to the touch.Wildflower Lacquer Eesome (meaning pleasing to the eye) has a slate-blue-teal base with gold-green-blue multichrome iridescent shimmer. I wore this in three thin coats, but two will cover. Wildflower Lacquer Incalescent (meaning to set ablaze) is a red-orange jelly with green-gold-to-magenta multichrome iridescent shimmer. I wore it in four thin coats. This one has a super-fiery glow to it. Wildflower Lacquer Lucent (meaning softly bright or radiant) is a sheer polish with teal-magenta-purple multichrome iridescent shimmer and green glow-in-the-dark pigment. I wore this in four thin coats and it showed a little of my nail flaws underneath. The glow on this one is super-strong. Due to the glow-in-the-dark pigment, it dries matte and slightly textured, needing top coat to smooth.Wildflower Lacquer Orphic (meaning mysterious and entrancing) has a green-brown jelly base with magneta-gold-green multichrome iridescent shimmer. I wore this in four thin coats and it remained somewhat sheer.Wildflower Lacquer Recherché (meaning carefully chosen, rare, or exotic) is a deep burgundy jelly with vibrant blue-to-purple duochrome iridescent shimmer. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover. This has a stain warning, but I didn’t experience any notable staining from it. This one is one of the most interesting and rich shades in the collection for me.The polish is a sheer warm, light pink with strong blue-indigo duochrome iridescent shimmer, and a sprinkling of holo shimmer. I wore it in four thin coats and it retained some sheerness. The shimmer really glows on this one. Wildflower Lacquer Geralt Can Have All My Coins is the in-shop Polish Pickup Rewind for 2024. This originally released in October 2021. It is inspired by The Witcher. It has a deep navy base with copper-gold-green multichrome shimmer and holo shimmer. I wore it in two thin coats, but you might be able to do just one. Wildflower Lacquer The Sky Has Finally Opened 2.0 is the Polish Pickup Rewind PPU shop polish for July 2024. It originally released in June 2021 and $1 from each bottle sold goes to the Trevor Project. It is a 2.0 version but is pretty much identical to the original. It has a brown-mauve base with copper-gold-green multichrome iridescent shimmer and holo shimmer. I wore it in three thin coats, but two will cover.Wildflower Lacquer has also introduced a multiuse body oil called Wildflower Nectar. It sold out right away but will be restocked in September. This oil is intended to be used for skin and hair as needed. It comes in a 30ml dropper bottle and is priced at $14. The ingredients are jojoba, avocado oil, argan oil, and fragrance oils. I tested it for several months and here are my before and after pictures. I’m middle aged and my skin and nails are in terrible shape. My skin is dry to the point of cracking and peeling and my nails extremely fragile and damaged, with peels, stains, and white spots that keep forming over and over again. I feel like this oil did help to some degree, though it didn’t completely get rid of my dry and rough spots. Frankly, nothing really does. The second picture has a little staining around my dry skin from a neon yellow I wore, but that does kind of give you an idea of where my skin is thickest and most damaged. I was able to get quite a bit more length on my nails before they peeled and disintegrated. Aging’s no joke. Even in summer my skin is bone dry and painful, whereas I used to have oily skin! I did also try the oil on my face and hair. It was a bit heavy for me on the face in the summer, but might be good in the winter. In small amounts it worked on my hair, but I had to use it sparingly because my hair is so thin. The bottle has a good amount of product in it, so I used up a little more than half in two months. Now for live swatches of the polishes!Wildflower Lacquer’s July 2024 Release is available through 11:59PM CDT on July 12. My top picks from the release are Incalescent (love the green shimmer against the orange base), Recherché (beautiful formula and so elegant), 1948 (love the strong shimmer and the cause), and Geralt Can Have All My Coins (really interesting, sophisticated shifts). *press sample*Wildflower Lacquer is made by Taylor in Oklahoma.
