In a new book, Aaron Rodgers‘ family has claimed his ex, Olivia Munn, was responsible for a rift that occurred in 2014. Munn and Rodgers dated from 2014 to 2016, reportedly becoming engaged after three years but they split in April 2017.

Including interviews with Rodgers and his family, Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers
by Ian O’Connor details clashes between Munn and Rodgers‘ parents, one included a moment where Munn allegedly told Ed and Darla they weren’t wanted at a Green Bay game. “You haven’t been on the scene very long. You’re just his girlfriend. We’re his parents,” Ed reportedly told Munn. Rodgers reportedly said to them in an email, “Don’t attack the woman I love.”
“She said the family was dysfunctional before she met Aaron, which is bull,” Ed told O’Connor, per TMZ. “We were going to all of his games; we were staying at his house. We had a great relationship. Nothing bad was going on.” For Rodgers’ part, he told O’Connor that “his family issues are deep-rooted” and it’s not Munn’s fault.
In response, a source close to Munn told People, “It’s been almost a decade of these ridiculous rumors, and I know she really appreciates Aaron finally shutting it down. The Rodgers family has a lot going on, and she hopes they find some peace.”
The timing is curious because Munn and John Mulaney just confirmed their marriage on the August 12 episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers. “It’s the greatest single time in my life,” Mulaney said. “I’ve been in a lot of interesting situations, but marrying into a large Vietnamese family is one of the most fun things I’ve ever done. They’re the best, man.”
