Barry Keoghan shared a rare photo of his son on Instagram on August 18, 2024, and it just goes to show that, as a famous person, you can’t do anything online without facing the wrath of the internet. The baby’s mom, meanwhile, shares photos constantly.

“He’s more of a charmer than i am. Our wee Brando,” Keoghan captioned the image. The actor isn’t hugely active on social media—in fact, his first post was shared in February this year and he’s got 11 total to his name.
But the comments section! Savage. “So now that you are no longer with Sabrina you remember you had a son 😂,” wrote one follower. “He’s tired of the absent father allegations 😂,” commented another. Seemingly people are reacting to the fact that while his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Brando’s mom, wasn’t public at all, he’s very publicly been entwined with Sabrina Carpenter (which, TLDR; some have speculated that they broke up).

Brando’s mom is Alyson Kierans, a dentist from London. They were first linked in 2021 but in January 2024, the Daily Mail confirmed they’d gone their separate ways. “His partying caused arguments,” a source told The Sun at the time. “Alyson also suspects he has got close to someone else and is adamant there is no going back. They’ve grown apart over recent months and things have finally come to a head.”
In an interview with GQ, Keoghan said Kierans has “done a great job, and she’s an incredible mother,” but he didn’t expand on their relationship at all, rather he spoke about fatherhood. “I can’t get the little boy off my mind. It’s beautiful,” he said.
“Y’know, it’s crazy, but when he looks at you, you feel like the most important person in the world. That’s the effect he has on me. He smiles at you and you’re like, ‘Wow, you’re smiling at me like that? I don’t deserve that, but anyways, thanks.’”
Brando celebrated his second birthday on August 5, to which Kiernans paid tribute on Instagram. Like I said, she posts a lot about their son on Instagram, which leads us to believe she does the majority of the parenting. Then again, we have absolutely no idea what their arrangement is.
