“This is a very interesting question (what is the right number of teams) because there are different positions and there are also legal implications to what we have to say,” Domenicali explained, per Racer.com. “I think to be honest, if the real value that it is bringing to the sport is important and is real and stable for the future, there is also another consideration that you have to take. If the contest is growing — which is what we can see today — I think 10 teams are more than enough to create the show or the business and the attention that we want to see on the track.”
Domenicali also said that he’s helped F1 from a business persepctive. “In my role I need to consider that the sport can grow only if the majority of all the teams can grow. That was one of the fundamentals of the budget cap — to give a credible financial stability to the value of the franchise of the team.”

Who won the 2023 Formula One World Championship?
Who won the 2023 Formula One World Championship? Max Verstappen, the Belgian-Dutch motorsports racing driver, won his third World Drivers’ Championship in 2023 while racing for Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT.
“A fantastic feeling. It’s been an incredible year. Lot of great races, and I’m also super proud of the job of the team. It’s just been so enjoyable to be part of that group of people,” the 26-year-old said in a post-race interview broadcast on ESPN, per NBC News. “And yeah, to be a three-time world champion is just incredible.”
When asked whether he’s expected to win more championships, Verstappen added: “We’ll just see what happens. I’m enjoying the moment and hopefully we can keep this momentum going for a while.”
Verstappen became the fifth driver in the sport’s history to win three consecutive championships alongside Juan Manuel Fangio, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, and Lewis Hamilton. Only five other drivers have won more world titles: Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Juan Manuel Fangio, Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel.
Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner told Sky Sports that everything Verstappen did this year “has been phenomenal.” He continued, “He’s the most competitive driver that I’ve ever met. The determination that he drives with, the passion, the heart, the commitment and, of course, the abundance of skill that he has, he’s up there with the very best.”
