With one explosive documentary under their belt, Investigation Discovery has shed their spotlight on yet another pair of young celebrities. If you’ve watched Falled Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter, you might be wondering where Nick Carter is now and what happened to his career.

More than three women came forward with their stories about the Backstreet Boys member and his assault allegations. “There’s things that I know about Nick that could burn his house down,” Melissa Schulman says. “Nick looks like a perfect, pretty Ken doll, but I know how evil he can be.”

Nick Carter is still recording music and is currently on tour. He started his Who I Am tour in 2023, where he performed in over 60 cities. He recently released “So Sweet” in collaboration with Rockit Music. He recently posted photos on Instagram of his children in the studio with him. He has two sons and a daughter with wife Lauren Michelle Kitt.
He’s been open about how his brother’s death has affected his performance with the Backstreet Boys. “It was very emotional for me, having my guys with me. That night, it was tough to get up on stage,” Nick told Extra. “There’s the old saying the show must go on, that’s been with us for years, but that night, I didn’t know what to expect, I didn’t know what was going to come from it, getting on that stage.”

What is Nick Carter accused of?
Nick Carter is accused of sexual assault of more than three women. Though, only three have managed to take him to court.
Melissa Schuman, formerly of the girl group Dream, was the first to accuse Nick of assault in 2017. Nick allegedly raped her in her house in 2003. Melissa came forward with the allegations in 2017 in a blog post. Nick Carter denied the accusation. “I was empowered to share my story because of the brave women who shared their stories before me,” Melissa said in a statement to People. “My hope is that my experience further highlights the urgent need for open dialogue and education about consent and sexual assault. To those who have shared their stories with me, I see you. I believe you. I stand with you.”Melissa Schuman opened a case in April 2023 and is still battling it out in court.
Shannon “Shay” Ruth accused Nick Carter of sexual assault and rape when she was 17 and he was 22. Shay alleged that Nick invited her onto his tour bus following a concert in Tacoma, Washington in February 2001. Shay claimed Carter forced her to perform oral sex on him, raped her, and infected her with a sexually transmitted infection. Shay, who has celebral palsy and autism, filed a sexual battery lawsuit in Clark County, Nevada in 2022.
Another anonymous accuser Jane Doe A.R., who sued him in August with allegations he raped her on a yacht in 2003 when she was 15 years old. Nick Carter filed counterclaims against Shannon Ruth, Melissa Schuman, alleging the trio conspired to harass, defame, and extort him.
