Devin Strader, a 28-year-old Freight Company Owner from Rosenberg, Texas, is one of 25 contestants on The Bachelorette Season 21 with Jenn Tran. Devin became the first villain on The Bachelorette Season 21 after his feud with Aaron Erb, a 29-year-old Aerospace Engineer from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then Thomas Nguyen, a 31-year-old Retirement Adviser from Tucker, Georgia, in week 2.

He feuded with a third contestant, Sam McKinney, a 27-year-old Contractor from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in week 3. And his drama didn’t stop there. According to Reality Steve, Devin landed himself in hot water on night one during a game of “Truth or Dare” with Jenn and the cast, where he was asked to name a conspiracy theory he believed in. Per Reality Steve, Devin allegedly responded, “I believe 9/11 was an inside job.”
The moment never aired in The Bachelorette Season 21 premiere, however, fans speculate that the comment was among the reasons so many cast members—including Aaron, Thomas N., and Sam M.—had an issue with Devin so fast in the house.
When does Devin go home on The Bachelorette Season 21?
In what could come as a surprise to fans, Devin is the winner of The Bachelorette Season 21 and is the only contestant to not be sent home by Jenn, according to Reality Steve. Devin’s runner-up was Marcus Shoberg, a 31-year-old Army Ranger Veteran from Cloquet, Minnesota.

Jenn gave Devin her final rose at the Final Rose Ceremony in The Bachelorette Season 21 finale, which was filmed in Hawaii in May 2024, Along with accepting her final rose, Devin also proposed to Jenn and the two are now engaged. At the time of writing, they’re still together, according to Reality Steve.
Jenn seemingly confirmed she got engaged in The Bachelorette Season 21 on “Call Her Daddy” podcast in June 2024. The confirmation came after Jenn was asked about her response to fans who wanted Maria Georgas and Daisy Kent, her Bachelor Season 28 cast mates, to be the Season 21 Bachelorette instead of her.

“People were like, ‘She’s too boring, or She’s too crazy, she wants to take shots,’” Jenn said. “It’s like, God forbid I want to take a shot! I didn’t know that once you get engaged, you can’t take a shot. Or once you find love, you can’t take a shot.” Though Jenn went on to correct herself to a more general “find love,” fans interpreted her response as confirmation she got engaged.
Though it’s assumed that Devin proposed to Jenn, some fans speculate that Jenn proposed to Devin based on an interview with Season 11 Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe in which Jenn revealed that something happens in her finale that’s “never happened before” in Bachelor Nation. “I think I’m also being told that the ending of my season is also something that has never happened before,” she said.
That speculation was intensified by The Bachelorette Season 21 cold open, which saw Jenn at her final rose ceremony telling a contestant, “I can’t let you propose to me.” Reality Steve identified that the contestant was Devin based on the color of his suit in the video, which matched the color suit Devin was seen wearing in paparazzi photos of The Bachelorette Season 21 finale. Reality Steve, however, didn’t believe that was the case.
“What I do know is in that opening scene Monday where she’s telling Devin ‘I can’t let you propose to me,’ there isn’t an ounce of sadness in her face or a tear in her eye. It’s almost like she’s about to follow it up with, ‘…because I want to choose you,’ or ‘…until I give you the final rose,’” he wrote in a blog post ahead of the finale.
