Snoop Dogg may not be officially on Team USA for any of the actual Olympic Games, but he’s real af for this one. This man has been America’s pop culture correspondent wherever he can get in. He was at the Opening Ceremony, he was at the track trials, he carried that torch with his whole chest. What more can we say? Well Snoop showed up to gymnastics wearing homemade merch for one of Team USA’s biggest stars, that we can only imagine is one-of-a-kind and nowhere to be found but in his closet.
NBC’s official correspondent unzipped his custom NBC Olympics Press jacket to reveal a t-shirt with Simone Biles face plastered across it. “We‘re giving Snoop Dogg’s shirt a perfect 10,” NBC wrote in an Instagram caption.
Biles is currently one to watch. I mean, when has she ever not been? But in 2016, she became the first female gymnast to win four gold medals in a single Olympics. This time, she could be going for five. She’s competing in the team final, the individual all-around final, the vault final, the beam final, and the floor final. A gold medal for the beam remains her white whale, but we’re rooting for our girl every time.
