Proudly Canadian – Tru Earth

Tru Earth – Clean Made in CanadaTru Earth co-founder Ryan McKenzie lives in British Columbia and enjoys watching YouTube videos (about toys!) with his kids. But it wasn’t long before all the waste plastic began to bother him. He thought about what sustainable packaging could look like and how it might change how we handle our household items.Ryan’s long-time adventure partner Brad Liski mentioned that a relative of his had received a patent on a laundry detergent that was supposed to be eco-friendly while still being effective.Brad, Ryan, and co-adventurer Kevin Hinton all agreed to try the product for themselves. After their first wash, they realized that not only was the packaging environmentally friendly, but the product actually worked! The three founders launched the company in Port Moody, BC and it is now seeing huge growth. Eliminating plastic in household cleaning products is the goal of Tru Earth, which was ranked in the top 50 of companies in the 2022 Report on Business. The company has stayed true to its Canadian roots, keeping Eco-Strips manufacturing in Canada, where they are subject to stringent health regulations. “You can rest easy knowing we don’t cut corners,” says McKenzie, “The safety of Canadian families is important to us.”Tru Earth also manages a donation program reaching more than 800+ organizations including food banks, maternity programs, local women’s shelters & non-profits across Canada and the United States. The team still loves spending time with family in the Greater Vancouver mountains and working alongside others to eradicate plastic pollution with programs like the Shoreline Clean-up Program with Ocean Wise. Now that’s a Tru Canadian Company!Click here to buy Tru Earth products available at London Drugs.#ProudlyCanadianRelated
