Keeping it cool and quiet. Prince William and Kate Middleton aren’t so happy with the conspiracy theories. The couple has been the target of several conspiracy theories after Kate’s mysterious abdominal surgery and disappearance from public life.
Royal Katie Scholl, revealed to Entertainment Tonight about what’s happening behind the scenes at Windsor Castle. “I know from the sources that I’ve spoken to that both William and Kate have been pretty shocked and genuinely surprised by the wild rumors that are circulating on the internet,” she said.
She continued, “I think there’s a sense of frustration, possibly even anger, certainly on William’s part. I think the suggestions that [Kate’s] had, well, anything as crazy as a bad haircut that she’s needed to grow out to cosmetic surgery that’s gone wrong or people speculating that possibly she’s in a coma, I think that has made the Prince of Wales frustrated, upset and pretty angry as well.”
“It’s been difficult for them,” Nicholl later explained. “I think they’re trying to ignore as much as they can.”
“They’ve got an Instagram handle, they’ve got hundreds of thousands of followers,” she continued. “They certainly don’t have their heads in the sand. They are aware of what is being written and what is being said. And I think there’s a sense of frustration that they can’t bring an end to it.”
Sources close to the Prince and Princess of Wales also had plenty to say about the video conspiracies where people claim that it’s not Kate in an outing. “There’s nothing you can do these days about a bunch of headbangers who have a vested interest in keeping the conspiracies going,” a source told Us Weekly. “Ultimately she is fine, and she needed that to be seen.”
“You can argue that they should have approached the whole thing differently, but this is a marathon, not a sprint,” the insider continued. “They have decades and decades of this life ahead of them, and the message is that they intend to guard their privacy, whatever the media say they should or shouldn’t do.”
Amid all the drama happening online, it appears that Kate is quietly returning to work for The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood. Kensington Palace confirmed to Us Weekly that “The princess has been kept updated throughout the process.”
