The silver magnetic picked up some of the base color and appeared light violet when top coat was applied, an effect I liked. I wore it with four coats magnetized, but two or three will cover, and two coats unmagnetized. It looks like a grungy silver-violet foil when worn without a magnet, which is perfect for the grunge theme. I love that magnetic polishes can be worn two ways. I wore it in three thin coats, but two will cover. It is slightly thick due to the reflective particles but manageable. It dries with texture, which I smoothed with a coat of KBShimmer Smooth Moves and another coat of regular top coat. This definitely has the pretty-ugly look of a lot of 1990s fashion.
