The newest bod mists from Phlur have arrived! Phlur Caramel Skin and Phlur Coconut Skin Body & Hair Fragrance Mist have arrived today in two sizes! You can get the 8 oz for $38 or the 3 oz for $24. I’m wondering if these will sell out as fast as Vanilla Skin did when it originally launched! Not to mention once Vanilla Skin sold out it disappeared for months before becoming available again! I absolutely love Vanilla Skin which is why I’m pretty curious about both of these. Vanilla Skin is a warm, woodsy, gourmand vanilla with notes of Sugar Crystals, Cashmere Wood, and Vanilla. It originally launched as a body mist and just a few short weeks ago they introduced it in an EDP. I snagged a large bottle of it as soon as it dropped but if you’re not sure if you’d like you can snag the travel spray for $29. Trust me, it’s worth a sniff plus it layers and plays well with other vanilla fragrances.
I do think Caramel Skin and Coconut Skin could be inspired by the original Vanilla Skin scent with warmer gourmand notes. Or at least that’s what I’m hoping for! Phlur Caramel Skin has notes of Bergamot, Caramel Cream, and Sandalwood where as Coconut Skin has notes of Coconut, Frangipani, and Salted Amber. Both sound delicious but Caramel is the one that interests me the most. I’m hoping for a smooth, creamy caramel blend.
I think what most interests me about these fragrances is the fact we MAY be able to layer them with Vanilla Skin. That’s my hope as wouldn’t sugary vanilla and caramel go create together? Or hey, maybe we can get really crazy and do all three. Coconut, vanilla, and caramel? Yes, please.
Will I be purchasing them? Yes. But I’ll be going small first and that’s for two reasons. First, Phlur is a toss up for me. Some of their scents I love (Missing Person SWOON!) and some of them are headache inducing (Strawberry Letter! UGH Migraine!). Secondly, I don’t really want a big 8 oz body mist only for it to go viral and suddenly Phlur is like, “Ok, this is popular let’s launch a perfume!” That’s what they did with Vanilla Skin and now I find myself using the EDP a lot more than the body mist. So, yeah, 3 oz is good for me JUST in case they do an EDP in the future I have a better chance of using it all up! And yes, I did say I wasn’t going to buy either one of these but lord, come on, who can resist a good gourmand!
Will you be buying these?
