Noodles Nail Polish Valentine’s Day Trio 2024 Swatches and Reviews

*press samplesHello hello! I hope your week is off to a good start because I have lots of polishes to share with you. Tonight I’ve got the annual Noodles Nail Polish Valentine’s Day collection to share with you. This year it’s a trio with 2 glitter toppers and a glitter crelly. This set will retail for just $10.50 each and will be available starting this Friday, February 2nd at 6 PM EST. If any polishes happen to sell out, Natalie usually tries to restock those at least once so don’t worry if you happen to miss any. Shall we get to the beauties? While we all love the bling, it can be a pain to remove. Oh, and it can be known to eat topcoat which leaves texture on the nail after it dries. If you are especially sensitive to feeling your polish, make sure your topcoat is a thick one, or apply a second coat of a thinner one. Instead of applying 2 coats of thick topcoat, several indie brands have come out with a product that you use after your last coat of polish and before your topcoat. These are generally thick and “fill in” the gaps left from the glitter. Here are several products I use and recommend (in no particular order):2. Gelous from American Classics 3. Criminally Smooth Glitter Smoothing topcoat (dries with a matte finish unlike the others)6. Smooth and Shine Duo from Esmaltes da Kelly (available through Polish Pickup some months)To use these glitter grabbing topcoats, it’s best to let the polish to dry for several minutes before applying. If you apply the glitter grabber too quickly, the nail polish can eat up the glitter grabber a little, making the polish continue to have a little texture, even after the addition of a quick-dry topcoat. Using it this way requires a little more patience, but it’s totally worth it. I also use peel-off basecoats to make removal a breeze. I recommend UNT Ready for Take Off, Hit the Bottle Keepin’ it Peel, or Black Dahlia Lacquer as they all work well (I am not affiliated with any site or brand…I’m just sharing the love). The UNT works better for my body chemistry as the Hit the Bottle will sometimes pop off during the day. It seems like the UNT has been harder to find lately, so there’s always the Holo Taco one if you really need one. If you want your polish to last a little longer, I completely understand. In that case, the foil method will work best for you when you’re ready for a change. Clips like these are cheap and great for keeping the cotton balls in place. I hope this helps, and feel free to email me or leave a comment with any questions you may have.Thumb/Pointer/Middle fingers: 2 coats Zoya Jordan under 1 coat of Noodles Nail Polish Hearts and KissesRing/Little Finger: 3 coats of Hearts and KissesI’m gonna be honest, this trio is just full of fun shaped glitters. If you love stars, moons, or hearts, this trio is for you. Up first we have Hearts and Kisses which is a clear-based glitter topper with white matte hearts and glitters, holo flakes, scattered holo, and a mix of fuchsia/raspberry/pink holo glitters. Sometimes larger glitter pieces like the hearts are difficult to fish out of the bottle, but this one is full of them, so no fishing required. That said, I still recommend flipping the bottle over for a few minutes before applying the polish. You can build this one up with 3 coats, but I think I like it better as a topper. It does dry with texture, so bust out that glitter smoothing topcoat to get that glass-like finish. Next up we have How Sweet It Is which is the only crelly of the set. It’s an orchid crelly base with matte white/magenta glitter, and metallic and holo fuchsia glitters. The base is a bit sheer, but it’s so full of glitter that I still only needed 2 coats to build it up. This one is quintessential Valentine’s Day. Again, it dries with lots of texture, so you’ll either need that glitter-smoothing topcoat, or 2 coats of a thicker topcoat to smooth it out. I also recommend that you wait several minutes for the polish to dry before using either topcoat so it doesn’t get “eaten” by the polish if that makes sense. Thumb/Pointer/Middle fingers: 2 coats Morgan Taylor Little Black Dress under 1 coat of Noodles Nail Polish To the Moon and BackRing/Little Finger: 3 coats of To the Moon and BackLast, but certainly not least, we’ve got To the Moon and Back which I think is my top pick from the collection. I love star, moon, and heart glitters! I can’t help it! This one is a clear-based glitter topper with silver moon/silver mini hearts/gold mini stars and glitters in silver/gold/violet/fuchsia holo and metallic finishes. This one is choke full of glitter, so don’t feel like you’ll need to go fishing like I talked about above. If you’re a fan of polishes with shapes, you must get this one. You can build this one up in 3 coats, but again, I think I like it better as a topper. Love it! There you have it, folks! Definitely set your alarms for Friday to pick up your favorites. I love all three, but I’m in it for the fun glitters, so my top picks are To the Moon and Back and Hearts and Kisses. You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their website, Instagram page, Facebook page, and Facebook Fan Group. *These polishes were provided by the company or PR representative.
