Noodles Nail Polish Summer 2024 Collection + Anniversary Polish Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*Hello hello! I know lots of people were waiting for this post as Noodles Nail Polish usually has at least one summer collection. Not only do I have the 7 to show you tonight, but I’m happy to report that there will be another one next month! The collection contains 6 glitter crellies and one glitter topper. The extra polish in this set is for Natalie’s 11th anniversary! Congratulations to her for pursuing her passion with a successful business for such a long time! Especially while being an elementary school teacher. This set will be available starting on Wednesday, July 17th at 5 PM EST on the Noodles Nail Polish website for just $10.50 each. Don’t forget, the Polish Pickup Rewind polish pre-order will be coinciding with the release and will be available from 7/17-7/19. Shall we get to the swatches? Best Techniques for Smoothing Out and Removing Glitter *updated 1/30/24*Noodles Nail Polish is all about the glitter, all the time. While we all love the bling, it can be a pain to remove. Oh, and it can be known to eat topcoat which leaves texture on the nail after it dries. If you are especially sensitive to feeling your polish, make sure your topcoat is a thick one, or apply a second coat of a thinner one. Instead of applying 2 coats of thick topcoat, several indie brands have come out with a product that you use after your last coat of polish and before your topcoat. These are generally thick and “fill in” the gaps left from the glitter. Here are several products I use and recommend (in no particular order):2. Gelous from American Classics 3. Criminally Smooth Glitter Smoothing topcoat (dries with a matte finish unlike the others)6. Smooth and Shine Duo from Esmaltes da Kelly (available through Polish Pickup some months)To use these glitter grabbing topcoats, it’s best to let the polish to dry for several minutes before applying. If you apply the glitter grabber too quickly, the nail polish can eat up the glitter grabber a little, making the polish continue to have a little texture, even after the addition of a quick-dry topcoat. Using it this way requires a little more patience, but it’s totally worth it. I also use peel-off basecoats to make removal a breeze. I recommend UNT Ready for Take Off, Hit the Bottle Keepin’ it Peel, or Black Dahlia Lacquer as they all work well (I am not affiliated with any site or brand…I’m just sharing the love). The UNT works better for my body chemistry as the Hit the Bottle will sometimes pop off during the day. It seems like the UNT has been harder to find lately, so there’s always the Holo Taco one if you really need one. If you want your polish to last a little longer, I completely understand. In that case, the foil method will work best for you when you’re ready for a change. Clips like these are cheap and great for keeping the cotton balls in place. I hope this helps, and feel free to email me or leave a comment with any questions you may have.Noodles Nail Polish 11 Years (3 coats)And we’re starting with the anniversary polish! I love that Natalie makes a new commemorative polish for every year. 11 Years is an orchid crelly base with red/green/gold color shifting flakes with gold holo and pink matte glitters. I really love the flakes and gold glitter combo in this one. It applied easily in 3 thin coats, but you may be able to get away with 2 if you use thicker coats or you have short nails. This pretty much applies to all of the following polishes that I used with 3 coats. Please keep this in mind for the rest of the post. Noodles Nail Polish Cool Summer (3 coats)When I first saw the name of this one, I thought of the song Cruel Summer by Bananarama and then got sad when I realized my mistake and that it is indeed cruel and not cool summer. I guess you can also think of Cool for the Summer by Demi Lovato instead. Cool Summer is another favorite of the collection, and it’s a light lavender crelly base with blue/magenta/purple/neon pink/sapphire hexagonal glitters in various sizes. I used 3 coats, but you could probably get away with 2, but lighting makes my nail line more visible, so I go with 3 just to make sure. I’m especially loving the pink/blue/purple combo in this one. I can’t wait to wear this next April!Noodles Nail Polish Ocean Ave (3 coats)You know I love a good blue. I wouldn’t mind if all water looked this beautiful. Ocean Ave is a semi-sheer light blue crelly base with matte white and blue holo hexagonal glitters in various sizes. Since this one was a bit more sheer, I used three coats again. For this one, I recommend a glitter-smoothing topcoat because of the larger glitter. Noodles Nail Polish Sea La Vie (3 coats)Sea La Vie is a bit of a change-up for the collection, and for that, it is a top pick for me. You won’t find any chunky glitter in this one. It’s a medium cornflower blue crelly base with pink/gold/green color shifting shimmer, holo silver flakes, and silver holo blue matte glitters. This one definitely has a shift from the shimmers, but it was hard to show in photos. Hopefully the bottle shot gives you a better idea of what it looks like at different angles. This one dries with a little texture, but not nearly as much, so you can likely get away with just a single layer of topcoat for that smooth finish. 1 coat Noodles Nail Polish Sunshine on My Mind over 2 coats Zoya FrankieWe got a glitter topper in this collection! I hope you’re not tired of glitter toppers…that’s the only hint I’ll give you 😉 If you’re interested in any of the Zoya Colors of the Month, this will be a little preview for the July Color, Frankie, which is inspired by watermelons. I used 1 thin coat of Sunshine on My Mind over 2 coats of Zoya Frankie for the swatches. I think you will see visible nail line if you used Sunshine on My Mind on its own, so I only used it as a topper. It is a clear-based topper with matte white and neon green/yellow/red/purple/pink/orange circle glitter with a scattered holo glitter finish. This is the perfect topper for all of your bright summer manicures! There you have it, folks! It’s another collection in the books. My top picks have to be Beach Life, Sea La Vie, and Cool Summer, but they’re all delightful shades. I know Natalie puts so much time and effort into making the best color combinations, and she always nails it. Just a reminder, these go on sale this Wednesday and not the usual Friday, so you may want to set an alarm for this one. And don’t forget to pick up your bottle of It’s Fricken Bats for the Polish Pickup Rewind as well (here’s a photo of that one). *These polishes were provided by the company or PR representative.
