Noodles Nail Polish Fall 2024 Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*Hi everyone! I need to apologize for the lack of posts lately. In mid-August we had to put our 19-year-old cat, Mr. Nose, down. It was devastating. We just lost our Clipsy cat at Christmas, so we are still raw from that. And honestly, September has been a blur so far. With the sad news out of the way, I have much more exciting things to share with you tonight. You all know Noodles Nail Polish’s fall collections have always been a favorite of mine. Natalie really captures that fall feeling with her crellies. Tonight I’ve got swatches of the 6-piece collection that will be released this Saturday, September 21st at 5 PM EST on the Noodles website. Each polish will retail for just $10.50 each. Swatch time! Best Techniques for Smoothing Out and Removing Glitter *updated 1/30/24*Noodles Nail Polish is all about the glitter, all the time. While we all love the bling, it can be a pain to remove. Oh, and it can be known to eat topcoat which leaves texture on the nail after it dries. If you are especially sensitive to feeling your polish, make sure your topcoat is a thick one, or apply a second coat of a thinner one. Instead of applying 2 coats of thick topcoat, several indie brands have come out with a product that you use after your last coat of polish and before your topcoat. These are generally thick and “fill in” the gaps left from the glitter. Here are several products I use and recommend (in no particular order):2. Gelous from American Classics 3. Criminally Smooth Glitter Smoothing topcoat (dries with a matte finish unlike the others)6. Smooth and Shine Duo from Esmaltes da Kelly (available through Polish Pickup some months)To use these glitter grabbing topcoats, it’s best to let the polish to dry for several minutes before applying. If you apply the glitter grabber too quickly, the nail polish can eat up the glitter grabber a little, making the polish continue to have a little texture, even after the addition of a quick-dry topcoat. Using it this way requires a little more patience, but it’s totally worth it. I also use peel-off basecoats to make removal a breeze. I recommend UNT Ready for Take Off, Hit the Bottle Keepin’ it Peel, or Black Dahlia Lacquer as they all work well (I am not affiliated with any site or brand…I’m just sharing the love). The UNT works better for my body chemistry as the Hit the Bottle will sometimes pop off during the day. It seems like the UNT has been harder to find lately, so there’s always the Holo Taco one if you really need one. If you want your polish to last a little longer, I completely understand. In that case, the foil method will work best for you when you’re ready for a change. Clips like these are cheap and great for keeping the cotton balls in place. I hope this helps, and feel free to email me or leave a comment with any questions you may have.Noodles Nail Polish Autumn Forest (2 coats)Up first we’ve got Autumn Forest which is a dark one! Don’t worry, despite being dark, it still looks green, not black. It’s a deep green crelly base with various color-shifting flakes and UCC flakes, metallic olive/orange/copper/copper/red/gold glitters and orange/green iridescent glitters. The iridescent glitter and flake combination adds the perfect depth to this one. It’s definitely a top pick for me. It basically applied itself in 2 thin coats, and dried with some texture, so if you don’t use a glitter-smoothing topcoat, you may need a second coat of topcoat if you’re sensitive to feeling the polish on your nails. Noodles Nail Polish Bonfire Nights (2 coats)Give me all the dusty nail polishes! When I opened the box of polishes, this was one that instantly caught my eye, and it didn’t disappoint. Bonfire Nights is a dusty slate blue that leans grey with copper and caramel metallic glitters and orange/green iridescent glitters which are on the smaller size. The warm tones of the glitter really makes you think of a fire you’d have in the fall. It applied easily in just 2 thin coats, but it does dry with lots of texture, so I recommend a glitter-smoothing topcoat, followed by a coat of quick-dry topcoat. Love it!Noodles Nail Polish Cozy Knit Sweater (2 coats)Continuing on we’ve got Cozy Knit Sweater which is a deep raspberry crelly base (leans on the jelly side) with metallic rose/garnet/caramel/copper glitters in various hexagonal sizes. This is definitely more of a chunky glitter than the others in this collection. I love the richness of the base color. I found the formula to be a tiny bit thicker on this one compared to the others, but it didn’t cause any issues in applying it. I used 2 thicker coats for my swatches, but looking back, I think I wish I used 3 thin coats instead. It will really depend on how you normally apply your polish. This one also dries with lots of texture, so bust out that glitter grabber! Noodles Nail Polish Fall Feels 1 coat (thumb, index, and thumb) over 2 coats Zoya Kateri  Noodles Nail Polish Fall Feels (ring and pinkie) 3 coats onlyWe’ve got a glitter topper, and it’s absolutely perfect for fall! Fall Feels is a clear-based glitter topper with metallic orange/copper/bronze/caramel/garnet hexagonal glitters in various sizes. I used it over a deep brown from Zoya, but I think this would work equally well with other neutral colors, or even a pink or a red. My favorite addition is that garnet-colored glitter in there. You can easily wear this one alone in 3 coats, but I recommend using more of a dabbing motion to sort of place the glitter on the nail for the first coat, and then regular brush strokes for the second and third. Hopefully that makes sense!Noodles Nail Polish Harvest Gleam (2 coats)Remember when I said to give me all the dusty polishes? Yeah, I’m including this one! This is the other polish I was instantly drawn to. Harvest Gleam is a sage green crelly base with metallic caramel/copper/light gold/melon green hexagonal glitters in various sizes. Like, this one is just perfect. It applied easily in 2 medium coats, and will need that glitter smoothing topcoat to smooth it all out. Noodles Nail Polish Mulberry Wine (2 coats)Last, but certainly not least, we have Mulberry Wine which is a deep burgundy crelly base with silver holo flakes, bronze micro flakes, a touch of fine copper metallic glitters with a scattered holo base. This one is deep and vampy and glorious. Since this is more small flakes than glitter, it doesn’t dry with much texture, so you should be fine with just one coat of topcoat. I needed just 2 thin coats and it applied flawlessly. There you have it, folks! Another fall collection in the books. My top recommendations have to be Harvest Gleam, Bonfire Nights, and Autumn Forest, but I love to hear from you in the comments which are your favorites. Reminder, this will be releasing on Saturday and not Friday like normally. You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their website, Instagram page, Facebook page, and Facebook Fan Group. *These polishes were provided by the company or PR representative.
