Back to School season is always a dangerous time when you’re doing a daily run to Target, Walmart, or the mall. It feels like there’s always something new and exciting to purchase in August as everyone prepares for Fall and the Back to School season. All the pens, pencils, planners, and other dodads that are available are too exciting to resist. Listen, I love makeup but I’m woman enough to admit that stationary makes me swoon. And since the pandemic I’m suddenly some sort of Master Chef because appliances and kitchen gadgets get me terribly excited as well. So yeah, I MAY have purchased myself some Beautiful by Drew Barrymore items. And yeah, they probably aren’t as good a quality as one want but I don’t care because they’re beautiful!
I brought a Beautiful 4-Slice Toaster in White Icing and it really is gorgeous. It’s clean and rather elegant looking. I just want you to know though there were moments when I had this in my cart when I felt inclined to purchase the lavender one. The temptation was great but I somehow made the adult decision to do white so it matched my kitchen but that lavender one still has a chokehold on me. I also got the matching Beautiful Ceramic Non-Stick Cookware Set in White Icing and yes, it comes in lavender too but wait, there’s even further temptation because it comes in pink! PINK! PINK, people! Again, I had to be an adult and go with white but lord how tempting was the pink! I know I’m going to have to do these pots by hand to keep them looking gorgeous but it was so worth it. They’re really beautiful. Now I sort of want other appliances from Miss Barrymore. I regret nothing on these two purchases.
Jump ahead for more!
Speaking of kitchen stuff I’ve recently become THAT GIRL who has several hundred water bottles. When did we all start collecting water bottles and why are we doing this again? I have a few and I wanted to organize them a little better in my pantry so I grabbed the Water Bottle Organizer everyone is recommending from Amazon and it works a treat to get them nice and organized and less of an eye sore. I don’t regret this purchase at all!
On to the beauty…
Make fun of me if you must but the Strawberry Icing Eau De Parfum at Marshall’s is divine. It smells like a strawberry dessert and layers wonderfully with vanilla fragrances! I’m trying to refrain from buying a backup bottle. Love it!
Did I pay a stupid amount for the Chanel Jardin Imaginaire Blush and Highlighter Duo? Yes. Do I regret it? Nope. I got the gold/peach shade and I absolutely adore it. It gives the most delightful golden orange peach to my cheeks! Stunning darlings! Just stunning! I don’t regret dishing out on this one!
You’re going to get tired of me talking about this but the Sephora Reveal The Real 12HR Soft Radiant Skin Tint is awesome. Such a natural, fresh, lightweight foundation! I don’t regret this purchase one bit and may need a backup as Sephora’s track record with discontinuing stuff is legendary!
I finally took the plunge and grabbed the MCO Beauty Instant Concealer Camouflage & Contour aka their dupe for Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. And no, it isn’t a dupe and no, I don’t regret purchasing it. For $7 bucks it’s actually quite nice. Thick, creamy, not as pigmented as Shape Tape but pretty pigmented that it hides all my undereye woe without creasing and wears long and strong. I like!
Speaking of concealers I don’t regret buying recently…! Fièra Luxury Concealer isn’t half bad! It’s sort of a lighter version of It Cosmetics Bye Bye Concealer! It’s emollient, thick, creamy, yet seems to blend out a little easier than Bye Bye Concealer. Great one if you have finer lines! I like this formula a lot! I saw an Instagram ad for it and you know how those normally turn out but this was a great buy!
Another Tiktok made me buy it moment is the Mistine Lip Gloss. I LOVE this stuff. It’s a watery yet super shiny lipgloss that looks amazing on lips and feels so moisturizing!
