Keeping his distance. Kate Middleton’s uncle gave quite an update about her surgery and health on Celebrity Big Brother UK. Carole Middleton’s brother Gary Goldsmith is a houseguest on the UK reality show and was interrogated by a Love Island alum about his niece’s condition.
“Where’s Kate?” asked Ekin Cülcüloğlu in a private conversation with Goldsmith. He responded, “So, because she doesn’t want to talk about it … the last thing I’m going to do is …”
Cülcüloğlu picked up on his hesitation, “We can’t talk about it?” He then cited a “code of etiquette” that takes place in royal settings. He continued. “If it’s announced, I’ll give you an opinion.”
“I hope she’s OK,” she responded. However, Goldsmith is certain that the Princess of Wales is “getting the best care in the world” while recovering. “She’ll be back. Of course she will,” Goldsmith concluded.
On March 4, 2024, Kate Middleton was spotted for the first time since December, before her abdominal surgery. In photos obtained by TMZ, she was being driven by her mother, Carole, near Windsor Castle.
Kensington Palace announced that Kate Middleton had a “planned abdominal surgery” at The London Clinic on January 16, 2024. “The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery,” the statement said. “Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”
“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private,” the statement continued. “Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.”
The British Army website previously listed that Princess Kate will inspect soldiers during an engagement at the Horse Guards Parade in London on June 8. However, the website took down her listing soon after.
