Moroccan Oil Shampoo Is Bad Because
It has added fragrance in its formulations which might disturb your scalp’s natural pH level and lead to an itchy scalp or irritation especially if you have sensitive scalp or dermatitis.Â
The added natural oils to the formulation might weigh down hair especially if you have limp hair that lacks volume.Â
The added hydrolyzed protein when used often might lead to protein overload in some cases.Â
Moroccan Oil might offer some vegan hair products but is not a complete vegan hair care brand.Â
Not all products by Moroccan oil are CGM-friendly as some of them contain alcohol and silicones.Â
Is Moroccan Oil Cruelty-Free?
Yes, Moroccan Oil is cruelty-free. The brand neither itself nor via any third party tests its ingredients or finished products on animals. They also don’t sell their products to Mainland China where animal testing is unfortunately still mandatory in most cases. Moroccan oil is not owned by any parent company either that tests on animals. You can check out where they stand on their animal testing policy here.
Moroccan oil is truly cruelty-free and is certified by PETA.
Is Moroccan Oil Vegan?
No, Moroccan oil is not a vegan brand nor do they claim to be one. They however might offer some vegan shampoos or other hair care products. So, if you are someone who is looking for a good vegan shampoo brand, we might recommend you to look elsewhere as Moroccan oil formulations might have some animal-derived ingredients.
Over To You: Is Moroccan Oil Shampoo Good Or Bad?
Let’s summarize:
Moroccan oil shampoo is good for your hair because it contains good ingredients in its formulations like argan oil, glycerin, and hydrolyzed protein to strengthen and nourish your hair. Moroccan is also a cruelty-free brand that does not test its products on animals.
However, shampoo and other hair products are not good for you if you are looking for a vegan hair care brand or if you have fine hair that weighs down easily. Also, their formulations contain added fragrance which might lead to scalp irritation especially if you have a sensitive scalp.
If budget isn’t your main concern, then Moroccan oil shampoo is good for your hair by all means. And I personally love its hydrating shampoo for my dry hair.Â
