Hiya guys! I know it has been awhile since I have made any kind of post here on my blog and social media in general. The year has not started off the way I had hoped it would in many ways unfortunately most of them bad. Without getting too far into the topic, I am trying to get my footing back in doing what I love to do most. Create content. I have spent the last two weeks pre-planning a lot of posts and trying for once to get ahead of the game, but this does mean a lot of posting for things that may seem old. So again I apologize if my content seems a little dated at this point, but I worked hard on it and wanted to still share it with you. Hope you don’t mind and stick with me as I get over this little bump in the road of life. For today I’m sharing my small purchases for the BTS Break the Silence Movie merchandise that was released last Fall. Some of the items from this release are still available thru Weverse, so definitely check it out if it’s something that catches your eye like it did mine.I was not kidding when I said this was a small purchases, haha. I think in total the release consisted of 10-12 items and I ended up only purchasing the two things you see here. Why? To be blunt… most of the items were simply boring and lackluster. It was mostly notebooks, pens, and keychains. And that really says something because you guys know I am all about notebooks and pens, haha. But all of which didn’t have a particular stellar or eye-catching design. So in the end I decided to purchase only two said things: postcards and a photo binder. Let’s get a closer look!Break the Silence – Photo BinderI’m starting off with what first caught my eye in this merch release… the photo binder. Being a BTS fan means having a photocard collection in some form or fashion. There are the fans that collect every single member or those like me who just collect their bias, but either way you have photocards a plenty and need a place to store them. Many die-hard fans tend to have a really neat set-ups already so an item like this may not be as useful. But since my collection is on the small side, I absolutely knew I needed to have this photo binder. The main appeal for me were the pockets for this particular binder. Photocards are one thing – kind of easy in terms of sizing to store – but other things like post cards or tickets are a little harder to find good spots. So when I saw that this binder had pockets bigger in size and perfect for those kind of items I was pretty much sold on it. If anything I wish all the pockets would have been these bigger ones instead of it being half these and half the normal sized ones for album photocards. Either way I am far from disappointed and I love this purchase so much! The colors are cute, the sizing is perfect and compact to fit on my shelf, and the quality is pretty good as well. All in all a good product for the price point of $21.Example with album photocardsBigger pocketsBreak the Silence – Postcard SetNot photocards like I was hoping, but postcards are close enough and something I would happily add to my collection. The photos used for these postcards are in-the-moment captures during their tour/concert and because of that some of the photos irked me. In particular I was not a fan of the photo used for Jimin as it was very blurred and the quality feels lower than most of the others. I don’t think it’s me being particularly biased either when you compare the photo to the other members. By far Yoongi and Namjoon have the best captured photos that really shows emotion and joy. All the others seem to be captured mid performance, which again manages to make each shot very memorable. It’s like flashing back to the concert! And that’s pretty much it for this super small unboxing. Honestly I’m happy that I didn’t go overboard with the spending and only purchased the items that I felt good about it. Sometimes it’s hard to not get caught up on the hype of new releases and get things just for the sake of supporting artists. Like I mentioned before a lot of the other items were things like notebooks, pens, and keychains. Things that I really just don’t have a place for and would end up being cluttered in a box somewhere unused. But that feels like a whole topic for another day, haha. Let me know if you’d be interested in my decluttering methods or my version of minimalist purchasing whilst still being a collector of sorts. With that my loves I hope to see you down in the comments and will talk to you later! I hope you stay safe and I will catch you next time xoxo Moonbaes.
