It’s been deemed the “most successful dating show in the world”, resulting in more than 180 marriages and 410 children. And after the finale of season 2 of the US version aired, everyone is wondering if Mitchell and Sydney are still together because their romance seemed so wholesome.
The premise is that farmers—who find it difficult to find spouses because of their isolating professions—are introduced to women from the city as potential life partners. “In a trend that’s been sweeping America over the last few years, there’s been a migration from city centers to suburban and rural locales, and with that, love follows,” a press release from FOX reads.
The new crop of farmers—Ty Ferrell, Mitchell Kolinsky, Brandon Rogers and Nathan Smothers—host a group of single women who leave behind the comfort and convenience of city life for the charms and challenges of country living, as they embark on an adventure that could change the course of their lives forever.
With diverse backgrounds in cattle ranching, citrus, potato and barley farming, horse training and more, the upcoming season promises an even more in-depth look at the pursuit of genuine love as each farmer and their group of hopeful singles meet and mutually select one another before the women are invited to experience life on their respective farm. From there, the farmers show each group what it is really like on an actual working farm, from tending to the land, harvesting crops and feeding cattle, to the behind-the-scenes business operations. Here’s what we know about if Mitchell and Sydney are still together.
Are Mitchell & Sydney still together?
Status: Still together.
Are Mitchell & Sydney still together? We definitely think so. Mitchell chose Sydney on Farmer Wants A Wife season 2 of the US version. They seemingly had an instant connection and in the finale, it was clear he’d found The One, thanks to her love of the outdoors and their shared passion for hunting.
“Getting to know you has been such a joy,” Mitchell told her. “We share something that’s so important to me…and that’s the love for the outdoors. And I have not found a girl in my whole life that is able to share that same common interest with me and make me feel like I can actually be myself.”
He continued: “There’s not many things that make this heart of mine, I guess, spill out and be vulnerable, be all romantic, but with you, I feel that way.” Sydney replied: “I never, like, have felt feelings for someone like I have with you, actually. Very scary! You know, maybe this is it. This is what I’ve been looking for my whole life.”
Mitchell explained, “Sydney, I think it is so special to think about the future with you and it just makes me so happy to think about all of the things that can come from this beautiful relationship that we do have. I want you to join this life of adventure with me, and farming is just the beginning!” They’re seemingly still together because, in a post-finale interview with Taste of Country, Mitchell hinted at “maybe in a couple of years, there’ll be a wedding,” much to Sydney’s delight.
