MAC, MAC…is that you girl? It’s been a while. MAC is back! MAC Cosmetics has released a 40 shade Pride Eyeshadow Vault and lord, it’s been a while since they had me sitting up take notice. Ah yes, remember the good old days when MAC would release a collection a month (or every three weeks even?). Color stories that included an array of beautiful pigments, bold eyeshadows, and more! What a time to be alive in the makeup community. They’ve has slowed their roll considerably over the last several years but lord knows they might be able to redeem themselves with this MAC Pride Eyeshadow Vault.
There’s only one problem…
It’s $150. Ouch. This limited-edition eye shadow palette is packed with 40 new and best-selling shades shades and comes in a puffy rainbow compact. That $150 bucks is hurting my feelings but when it comes to giving back MAC goes big. 100% of this palette’s price supports MAC VIVA GLAM’s mission of LGBTQIA+ equality remind us that MAC is all about All Ages, All Races, and All Sexes. Looks lie they missed a shade…! Where’s Parrot!?
They sadly didn’t say whether the eyeshadows are full-size or not. MAC Pro Palette Eyeshadow Singles are $11 each and 40 of those bad boys would set you back $440. That would make this palette a incredible value if it does include full-size shades.
I haven’t worn loud, vibrant shades in a while. I do miss the days I’d match my top to my eyeshadow shade. I’ve gotten boring over the years and stick to nudes and neutrals and that’s something I’d never thought I’d do. But here we are…! This palette actually excited me for color again! Maybe I need to romanticize bringing back vibrant shades into my makeup life again!
