Another day, another must-have from Target. On top of being our go-to for beauty products and large, functional work bags, the store also has an impressive activewear section, rivaling those of pricier brands. Case in point? The All In Motion Women’s Knit Slit Active Dress ($30), which people are comparing to designs from Lululemon.
Aside from being the perfect dupe for Lululemon’s Align™ Dress, which retails for $148, Target’s fitness dress is fashion meets function. The moisture-wicking, quick-drying design is form-fitting without being tight and features built-in shorts that make it the perfect pick for light workouts.
Influencers have also begun working it into their everyday wardrobes, styling the All in Motion dress casually with oversized jackets and baseball caps. Some have already labeled it their new “go-to outfit for spring and summer.”

Sizing is inclusive, ranging from XS to 4X, and the dress is even stretchy enough that pregnant people will have no problem wearing it.
“I was surprised with this one,” reads one 5-star review on Target’s site. “Looks so flattering on my short torso and can wear without a bra, 36C for reference and 5’5! It will bunch up a bit and lines will show through the first layer, but other than that, I am ready to go exploring with it on!”
Many claim that the All In Motion Women’s Knit Slit Active Dress is “very comfortable” and that, thanks to the shorts and supportive fit, it’s a design that “holds you in.” Those who have purchased the item claim they’ll be wearing it often for multiple occasions, not just at the gym.
“I LOVE THIS,” wrote a happy customer. “Perfect for summertime, it is on the shorter side but I don’t mind a mini dress. Especially because of the shorts underneath, worth it to me.”
While there’s a lot to love here—including the fact that this active dress has pockets!—a few have noted that the piece tends to run small. However, others argue that this dress is actually true to size, just on the shorter side, so it’s up to you whether or not you’ll want to size up.
“I am a traditional size 24 or 3X and a large breast DDD and I think it’s a great fit,” one customer said. “I have a large stomach and it doesn’t really smooth but it does have a pretty good hold. The shorts underneath are great. I love the fit and security of holding my thighs. I did have to maneuver the pads in the breast area but it wasn’t that hard to do especially when you do it when it’s not on. I think it’s overall a great dress for leisure or activity.”
Right now, the All In Motion Women’s Knit Slit Active Dress comes in both black and light blue. And, while it’s surely worth adding one into your rotation, scooping up two will still cost less than $100 (so, uh, don’t mind if we do!).
