Cameo Colours Lacquer – Polish Pick Up March 2021

Hiya guys! It feels like a long time since I had a chance to talk to you all, but I guess that’s because it kind of has been. There has been so much going on in my life that I feel exhausted in every regard. I debate sometimes whether I should maybe start some kind of journal series where I can talk about… well just about everything. If it’s something you think you’d like to see please let me know. Sometimes there is comfort in knowing we aren’t alone in our distress. But something I know we all take comfort in is beautiful polishes and that is something I will have a lot of this week! We are starting off the month with the March contribution to Polish Pick-Up from Cameo Colours Lacquers, which is inspired by the Bee Hummingbird. This particular hummingbird is known as the smallest in the world and is native to Cuba. The month of March is themed around Spring so the inspiration is perfect and definitely gives me those nice Spring vibes. But really the polish can do the talking here, let’s get to the swatches!Hummin’ Bee by Cameo Colours Lacquers will be available through Polish Pick-Up from March 5th until March 8th. There is a cap of 100 bottles US (and 5 UK) and each 15mL bottle retails for $11.50.Cameo Colours Lacquer – Hummin’ BeeHummin’ Bee can be described as a slightly greyed white crelly with scattered holo sparkle, aqua/indigo shimmer, blue-violet-copper and violet-pink-gold UCC flakes, plus holo micro flakes. Words cannot described how excited I was to realize this was a crelly. A white crelly at that. Oh my, the flashbacks to my earlier years first getting into the indie polish community hit me hard. Such a throwback. The combination in this one is also here to rock some socks with its flakes and shimmer. The subtle aqua shimmer really brings such depth along with the flake colors bouncing off each other. It’s all around gorgeous and absolutely glows against my skin-tone.The formula has a very sheer application that requires some layering in order to achieve full opacity. It does end-up achieving great coverage and I had no visible nail line whatsoever. The consistency felt well balanced throughout the application as well, not too thick or too thin. As a crelly, the polish is packed with flakes and glitters that apply with ease. I had no clumping and all the flakes felt like they spread out well naturally as I layered the coats. The finish does dry down to a minimal gritty finish that smoothes out perfectly after topcoat. Shown here in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.Like I mentioned before, it has been a long time since I have worn a crelly and I am so pumped about this one. Don’t hesitate if this one catches your eye! And of course be sure to check out more of Cameo Colours Lacquer, all links to social media are listed below.
