Son of a Nutcracker! The holiday season is finally here and here’s where to watch Elf online so you can continue on the Christmas tradition.

Elf is a 2003 movie starring Will Ferrell and follows the journey of Buddy The Elf, a human raised by Santa’s elves, on his way to meet his biological father (James Cann) in New York City. His father doesn’t believe in Santa Claus or accept his son at first, but slowly warms up to both. Along the way, Buddy helps revive the city’s Christmas spirit along with his zany antics and falls in love with Jovie (Zooey Deschanel).

Jon Favreau talked to Rolling Stone about how he came onto the project to be the film’s director.  “I remember reading it, and it clicked: if I made the world that he was from as though he grew up as an elf in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, one of those Rankin/Bass Christmas specials I grew up with, then everything fell into place tonally,” he recalled. “So for a year, I rewrote the script. It turned into more of a PG movie from a PG-13. He was a darker character in the script I had read originally. The character became a bit more innocent, and the world became more of a pastiche of the Rankin/Bass films. The studio [New Line] read it and agreed to make it, and that’s when I was brought on to direct.”

So what are you waiting for? Here’s how to watch Elf online.
