Blackpink’s Jennie Made Her Runway Debut at the Jacquemus Show

Do not catch yourself slipping, because there’s always a chance that BLACKPINK is in your area. BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim was in Capri for a surprise appearance in Jacquemus‘ Fall/Winter 2024 runway show titled, “La Casa.” And you wouldn’t know it, but it was also her runway debut.

“La Casa” celebrates Jacquemus‘ 15th anniversary as a label. Before the show, Jacquemus teased that Jennie would be there, though most had assumed as a front row guest, since she’s never been a runway model before. In the Instagram post, captioned “24 HOURS BEFORE THE SHOW,” Jennie lies on a terracotta-tiled terrace overlooking the sea, wrapped in a reddish-orange towel dress.

Jennie closed the show with the collection’s final look: a simple, elegant black halter dress, medium-height heels, and a bright blue bag. Twitter user and fashion blogger @saintdoll posted the video of the closing walk.

For the 15th anniversary show, Simone Porte Jacquemus spared no detail. In addition to bringing out a showstopper of a model to close his show, he also had been teasing the historic location of the show for months. The show was held at Casa Malaparte, an architectural wonder designed by modernist architect Adalberto Libera for writer Curzio Malaparte.

“I decided to create my brand after watching ‘Le Mépris’ from Jean-Luc Godard, being inspired by the beauty and modernity of his vision,” he captioned a photo. “Today I feel honored to be able to present our next show in Casa Malaparte.”

“La Casa” isn’t the first time Jennie has participated in a Jacquemus presentation. Back in the spring of 2022, she also attended his presentation in Honolulu, Hawaii.
